It does not require installation, and only uses the files in the Nokia directory. Execute "NTEST.EXE" to start the program, then click on one of the icons to change tests. Just execute the "TestScreens.exe" program, and press one of the function keys (F1-F8) to change tests. Pressing "ESC" exits the program. Although critical for CRT monitors, monitor tests are still useful for digital flat screen monitors. The Nokia "brightness and contrast" test screen is a simple way to adjust "gamma", which on most monitors is set totally wrong (be aware that the so-called "brightness" and "contrast" monitor controlls are actually controlling the monitors white level and black level). Test Screens is ideal for testing the clarity of a monitor, because it uses the tiniest possible type size in some of the tests. Together both programs make a great testing suite.
