MODAS CLS stands for Modern Optical Design 
and Analysis Software, Classic version.  
MODAS was completely revised as MODAS NG, 
and at that time, the developer decided to 
release the original (windows 9x) version 
as unsupported Freeware.  

MODAS CLS is professional optical design software 
that will allow the amateur telescope maker 
to design all refractors (doublets and triplets),
all classical 1 and 2 mirror reflectors and 
catadioptrics, as well as tilted component scopes.  

MODAS CLS will model up to 25 surfaces, up to 9 
wavelengths, and an unlimited number of traced rays.  
A tutorial and sample designs are included.  


NOTE: MODAS does NOT require installation.  Just 
unzip the archive (it contains the folder MODAS), 
and run the program file "MODAS.exe".
