Audacity is a high-end digital audio editing program, with 
features similar to programs such as Adobe Audition.

Audacity can natively save files in WAV format, or it can use 
"Lame" (found elsewhere on this server) to save files in MP3 format.  


NOTE: This is the last version to support LAME version 3.99.
