Simple Webcam Capture (ver 1.3) Abandoned Freeware (formerly: Free for personal use) Simple Webcam Capture is a "low-resource" Webcam capture utility with several unique features. It can be called from the command line with "arguments". It will turn off the Webcam between snapshots so as to not steal CPU resources. It has a configurable delay feature so that the camera can "warm-up" and "autofocus" before the snapshot. After the snapshot it taken, it can execute a file of your choosing (You can pass through the name of the snapshot that’s just been taken by specifying %1). Simple Webcam Capture is a good alternative to other more sophisticated Webcam programs (such as Dorgem) when all you are looking for is a program that will occationally snap pictures (such as, for example, taking time-laps pictures of a work in progress). Command Line Arguments: /filename “” /suffix dd-mm-yyyy /jpgquality 40 /imgperfect 500 /imgcaption Command line test ---------- Feature Summary: Lowers CPU usage by switching off the webcam between snapshots Use any standard windows capture device Capture to a file as a BMP or JPEG image Specify a flexible filename Give the image a caption Specify the frequency of snapshots Can be used via the command line Captures can be triggered via hotkey Execute a file after each snapshot is taken (optional of course)
