WinScan2PDF (ver 7.44) Freeware WinScan2PDF is a small applet (similar to a printer applet) for scanning a document page directly into a PDF file. Use this program whenever you just need to make a quick and simple scan, which doesn't require complex image adjustments or crops. You select the source (scanner) from a list (of course the scanner driver must be installed on the PC first), then press the "Scan to PDF" button. A dialog will popup asking if you want to scan the document in color or B&W. It will then make a full page scan of your document, and ask you for a name (and location) to store the PDF. The program does NOT require installing. Just place the program in a directory of your choice, and launch the EXE file. Note that Win2k users must also place a "gdiplus.dll" DLL file in the directory with this program (I am including the Microsoft GDI+, version 1.0.6001.22319, in file "gdiplus.zip"). Caution: Older versions of the program creates a file "WinScan2PDF.ini" in the directory you keep the program. ---------- Microsoft GDI+ (ver 5.2.6001.22319) Freeware Microsoft Windows 2000 does not have GDI+ native. In order to use WinScan2PDF on Win2k, you first have to place this GDIPLUS.DLL into the WINNT SYSTEM32 (or WINDOWS SYSTEM) directory. file = gdiplus.zip
