DOSBox is a "shell" that allows DOS-based games, and other
programs, to run in Windows 2000 (beyond what "CMD.exe"
by itself allows).

DOSBox also emulates CPU:286/386 realmode/protected mode, 
Directory FileSystem/XMS/EMS, Tandy/Hercules/CGA/EGA/VGA/VESA 
graphics, and SoundBlaster/Gravis Ultra Sound cards.
