IrfanView is a replacement for the Windows "Imaging" applet (and more).
IrfanView is an outstanding program, and probably the best utility 
available for viewing graphics files.  Although it is -not- freeware 
when used for commercial purposes, I still feel I should offer it.

NOTE: Install the core program before installing any PlugIn packages.

CAUTION: Be aware that the "Save as PDF" component is unstable under Win2k.
Also, the PDF.dll plugin will not open PDF files under Win2k.

Also included is an optional PlugIn that shows a Context menu 
for some IrfanView operations in Windows Explorer or other file 
managers.  You can select several files and: Play slideshow, 
Load files in Thumbnails window, Start JPG Lossless Rotation, 
or Convert images to another format.

Microsoft Visual C++ runtime DLL

In order for IrfanView to use a TWAIN SOurce (Scanner), it must 
make calls to the Microsoft C++ Runtime Library.  This library 
unfortunately does not ship with Microsoft Windows 2000.

To upgrade Windows, simply drop this MSVCP60.DLL file into the 
WINNT SYSTEM32 (or WINDOWS SYSTEM) directory.

KADMOS Recognition Engine PlugIn

Pressing F9 in Irfanview will launch the KADMOS OCR PlugIn if installed.

	WARNING: This PlugIn can -NOT- be installed under Win2k!

I am for completeness providing this PlugIn.  However, it is urged 
that you use FreeOCR instead, as it does a superior job of OCR.
